Refinance Rates Continue a Two-Week Slide, Falling to New 7-Week Low - Dec. 9, 2024

Rates on 30-year refinance loans dropped 8 basis points Friday, pushing the average down to 6.76%. That's the lowest reading since Oct. 16, with the average shedding almost three-eighths of a percentage point across the last two weeks.
